Mainnav MG-950d Sport Bluetooth GPS Data Logger

http://www.buygpsnow.com/Mainnav-MG-...d-Cycling.aspx

i plan on getting one of these when i get my next paycheck pretty neat, 6 seconds to lock onto GPS satellites from startup, accurate speedo, distance, elevation and timing data plus a data logger. It will store waypoint info so you can put your route onto Google Maps or Google Earth - would be the easiest way to share your trips with other people.

Re: Mainnav MG-950d Sport Bluetooth GPS Data Logger

I have GPS which I never use.
However, I am glad to see this device. I may have to get one also.
Thanks for the tip about it. I will look over the info closely.

That sounds pretty cool.

Always fun to see more gadgets.

Re: Mainnav MG-950d Sport Bluetooth GPS Data Logger

So my GPS Datalogger came in the mail last week and i grabbed some pics of it. All I had a chance to do with it was test the speedo accurately worked (which was my main reason for buying it since the Honda Hawk speedo is notoriously inaccurate)

Its actually meant for bicycles and sports stuff, but will work fine on the moto

the packaging is pretty nice:

It comes with a car charger, an AC charger, USB to USB Mini cable, a driver/software CD, and the mounting hardware for mounting to either a vertical or horizontal bar (it uses zip ties which is sort of hokey, but who hasn't used zip ties for random other things before? )

Here's a closeup of the unit (although I should have turned it on first..)

And you can get a better idea of size with this one.

Once I get my bike back together and this mounted on it, i'll let you know how well it actually works All I tested was the speedometer in a car and it was spot on as far as I could tell. I'll have to try the GPS datalogging also as storing ride routes was the other reason that I got it.

Thanks
Yong

And thanks for un-deleting my initial post, whoever you were!
