MSN Direct
Anyone using this service?
Am thinking about getting nuvi 660 + MSN direct. Is it worth the $99 lifetime subscription? Better coverage compared to premium navteq traffic? I am interested in the doppler radar. Any feedback from current users would be welcome. |

Re: MSN Direct
I have it. Coverage is limited to major metro areas. Doesn't do you any good outside of those coverage areas. My receiver died, though, and I have to pay something like $120.00 for a new one. Not happy about that!

Re: MSN Direct
I have had it for almost 2 years now. I am very happy with it. I do find the Radar weather a very nice improvment they have made. But like the other post said it is limmited and does not work everywere. It does cover a wider area than the forcast part does I find. You can also get current fuel prices, news, movie times and other items also.
The traffic part seems better than the garmin traffic service. after you get the receiver, when it is time to renew you can get lifetime for about $100.00 instead of $50 per year. Hope that helps. |
