Are there any sites that have California rides that can be downloaded to a Garmin gps device?

Re: GPS Rides

Kevin, You looking for rides in So Cal or anywhere in Calif?

I have several I have done I can send or put on Box.net for the taking.

I have another site that has some stuff but most of it is back east or more northerly(sp?) http://www.openroadjourney.com/

Sunday Morning Rides is another. http://www.sundaymorningrides.com/

Go play with your maps!!! That's usually what I do.

Re: GPS Rides

Cool. It should come with a mapping program to load into your puter. Play with it & become familiar with it. Makes it super eazy to plan routes.

Also you will prolly want to hard wire it into your headlight on the KP. There's an extra connector in there. That way it goes off & on when you turn the key on.

Give me a hollar if ya need any help.

Re: GPS Rides

You would tap into the headlamp wiring harness, rather than the headlight itself.

If you're not up to doing this kind of work, I'd recommend recruiting a bike-mechanic friend to help, or, pay for a professional installation.
