Drinking WP for garmin gps

Hello I'm again here.
I am an inspired biker from Germany.
My English is not very good.

Those are my motorcycles, BMW 1150 blanks, BMW 1200 R-S, Harley Davidson Softail Classic.
K 1200 RS
R 1150 RT
Harley

I plan on spending 6 weeks in the USA this coming 2006.
In Europe, we have WP for Garmin GPS that shows all the passes into the Alps.
I hope it can me help.

I'm looking for a WP list for passes in the USA.

Thanks and sorry for my bad English.

Hi rtbiker

We will try & help you with this.

When are you visiting the US
Where in the US will you be visiting, riding so the WP list can cover that area
What Garmin GPS do you have
What garmin map progoram will you be using for the US

Some German in you reply is ok if you don't have the English, my wife is from Germany & can help me read it, and translate for everyone else.

I had before a gpsIII and gps176. I use the spIII on my BMW R 1150 RT and also in the car.
I provided a way point file of all pass in Europe. look, the green point shows the position of a pass.
The red circle marks the highest pass in the alps

Re: WP for garmin gps

OK, you are looking for coordinates to put into your GPS? Can you purchase maps for your GPS? I don't own a GPS unit (), but many riders here use them. They use the GPS software on the PC to create way points.

You can look up coordinates all over the globe with a free program from NASA, the U.S. space agency. Visit here and Download the program: http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/. Choose the USGS Topo Maps to locate roads. Use Ctl-C and Ctl-V to copy-paste coordinates on the map.

Do you also want advice on where to ride? We can give you excellent tips!

Re: WP for garmin gps

For some reason I kind of ignored this thread. I'll toss a response in here now.

I have done just about all of the Northern CA Pashnit roads for the Garmins (using Mapsource). If you'd like, I can email them or see if I can attach them here. You could dig thru them at your own pace after that.

Bill, it would be terrific if you could export your tracks in GPX format (version 6.9x of Mapsource does that) and post them, perhaps at GPSXchage, or GPXchange. I'm sure there are many (me included) that would appreciate using them. Thanks.
