. I've heard it before. Anyway...good luck with that knee. By the way...does knee replacement come with the law enforcement career? Seems like every cop over 40 I know needs or has it!

When those old guys said your legs would be the first thing to go...they were not kidding.

Knees and backs are the top two LEO break downs. My advice is get in shape and stay there (stay light...step away from the box of doughnuts). Take no breaks in your work out (my big mistake). There are only so many fights and foot pursuits, without a warm up, that you can do before something must give. Actually the percentage of us that actually make it to a stand up retirement is quite small (like 12 %).

It has been a hoot and I would do it all over again. Even knowing the mental and physical damage it causes.

hi, HOPE YOU REALLY ENJOYED YOUR EXCURSION WITH YOUR SON... i AM PLANNING ON VISITING AROUND MID JULY AND LOOKING FOR GREAT EATS AND LODGING AROUND HIGHWAY 49 HEADING SOUTH FROM PLACERVILLE TO FRESNO. CONSIDERING TO RIDE 108 EAST AND BACK TO SONORA. wANTED TO ALSO KNOW IF ANY MOM & POP PLACES...THEY HAVE THE BEST EATS.

We looking to ride from Las Vegas round trip through Death Valey, Sequoia National park, Yosemite via Tioga pass back to Las Vegas, does anyone knows if the pass is open mid to late April?

Hi Igor,

Although we Californian's are enjoing a record breaking mild winter this year it would be very unlikely that Tioga Pass would be open in April. Better in late May or June - Lat year it didn't open until the third weekend in June.

If your committed to an April trip I'd look for an alternate route.

Just wanted to share this pic, 2 hours east of Eureka Ca. taken in 03.The bike is a 93 Suzuki GSX1100G.The fog in the background, I had to ride through for 2 hours before getting this pic. I would also like to get some of the Pashnit stickers if it would be OK
