The Tri-Star XP module converts the rear turn signal lights to function as brake and turn signal lights...and now has Running Light Capabilities! When the brakes are applied, the turn signal lights illuminate. If a turn signal is applied, it has priority over the brake light function on the side that is selected. If the turn signal is canceled and the brakes are still applied, the brake light function of the turn signal lights illuminate steady on.
- NOTE: If your bike does not have a variable load turn signal flasher, a Dual Load Equalizer will be needed for this installation.

Function Check:
Applying the brakes will cause the rear Turn Signals to light as long as the brakes are held. If a turn signal is sent to the rear lights at the same time it will have priority over the brake lights and cause the corresponding light to flash. When the turn signal is canceled the brake light will resume.
Why install one of these?
Increasing your rear visability is the name of the game here. If your bike comes stock with a small brake light, how well can other drivers really see you? That tiny bulb of yours blends right into the background of night. A simple wiring conversion will triple your visibility by using the turn signal bulbs AND your existing brake light to alert other drivers you are stopping- OR are already stopped. |

DUAL LOAD EQUALIZER:
This Dual-Load Equalizer is designed to fix the problem when you have changed your stock directionals to L.E.D. turn signals and they flash quickly or not at all.
NOTE: The security key light will still be lit on late model Harley-Davidsons equipped with the factory security system even with this Dual-Load Equalizer installed. However, the security system is still fully functional and cannot be damaged in any way.
If your bike does not have a variable load turn signal flasher, a Dual Load Equalizer will be needed for this installation.

This module combines all of the functions of the Self-Canceling Turn Signal Module and the Tri-Star Module ... and now has Running Lights capabilities!!! Engineered for the custom builder or to retro-fit motorcycles not equipped with self-canceling turn signals. Designed for use with individual momentary type turn signal switches mounted on the left and right handle bars. Five Unique Turn Signal Modes of Operation - Penta-Star XP
Mode 1 : Press turn signal button for 1 second, turn signal lights will flash for 7 seconds, then self cancel. This mode is usually used when changing lanes.
Mode 2 : Press turn signal button for 2 seconds, turn signal lights will flash for 20 seconds, then self-cancel. This mode is usually used when slowing down to go around a corner.
Mode 3 : Press turn signal button for 4 seconds, turn signal lights will flash for 75 seconds, then self-cancel. This mode is usually used when stopping at a signal light and turn will be made after stopping.
Note: All three modes above can be cancelled by pressing the same turn signal button a second time.
Mode 4 : Hazard Mode - is available all the time and will flash until cancelled. To engage, press both the left and right turn signal buttons for 1 second. To cancel, press both buttons again for one second.
Mode 5 : Brake Lights - Applying the brakes will cause the rear Turn Signals to light as long as the brakes are held. If a turn signal is sent to the rear lights at the same time it will have priority over the brake lights and cause the corresponding light to flash. When the turn signal is canceled the brake light will resume. |

Self-Canceling Turn Signal Module
Designed for bikes with two turn signal buttons... |
- Engineered for the custom builder, or to retrofit motorcycles not equipped with self-canceling turn signals.
- Designed for use with individual momentary type turn signal switches mounted on the left and right handle bars. This unit will not work on bikes that have the left and right turn signal switch built into one unit that you must push to cancel.
